JAMES DEBBAH CRIES FOR UNPAID SALARY

JAMES DEBBAH CRIES FOR UNPAID SALARY.

Liberian football have struggle over the years as qualifying for a major continental tournament has become a dream. The closest we have ever come to qualifying for the African cup of nations over the last 14 years or more was the 2 all draw against the Togolese National team after taken 2 goals lead.
The questions of players salaries and bonuses not been paid or not been enouh have always been of concern to football lovers in the country, many hope that the days of Weah 11 will come again.

Talking of Weah 11, one of the the integra member of the squad is Jame  Debbah who is the current coach of the national team of Liberia.
Well, as it has always been the case with players, James Debbah is now crying over an unpaid salary for the past seven months. Speaking with a local  radio station, Liberia most celebrated soccer legend said the LFA has not paid him for the past 7 months so it's like  he just can't keep quiet about it anymore but to rather voice out his displeasure.
While on air Musa Shannon who is as well a member of the famous Weah 11 also phone in to express his displeasure of Mr.Debbah bring such issue to the public. Mr.Shannon who is the current vice president for Administration told James Debbah that “ if you feel you have not been paid by your employer for 7 months and you are qualified, it's better you resign or better stay without complaining.”

In response to Shannon's statement, Debbah said “That statement was immature on the part of the Vice President for administration of the Liberian Football Association,Musa's statement in my point of view is reckless, because Musa Shannon just came to the fray. Where was he when I James Debbah, Kelvin Sebwe, George Weah, Thomas Kojo, Joe Nagba and Dionysius Sebwe were in Liberia helping to develop this institution by playing in the local league? Shannon needs to apologize to the technical staff for his reckless statement.”

We at LIB TODAY find this very embarrassing and unacceptable and for Musa Shannon to speak in this manner in the capacity of the VP for Administration at the LFA, he needs to apologize to the Liberian people. How on earth can you owe someone for 7 good months and how do you expect him to feed his family? We cannot fight corruption with this kind of behavior. Now the big question is,has Musa Shannon or any official at the LFA gone a month or two with out taking salaries?
I am not a fan of James Debbah as a coach especially from the time we drew  2 all with Togo in Monrovia but that doesn't mean he should not get what's due him.

If the LFA thinks Mr. Debbah is not qualify for the job it will be better he is sacked than keeping his salary for 7 months. And it will be prudent if the LFA boss Musa Bility calls Mr. Shannon to order.
