Following his goalscoring exploits in Tuesday's friendly against Russia, Sergio Ramos confirmed that he knows nothing of Cristiano Ronaldo's future at Real Madrid and he encouraged journalists to ask the Portuguese forward himself.

Julen Lopetegui's side showed the positives and negatives of experimenting with players in an international friendly, there were moments of brilliance but a lack of defensive cohesion saw La Roja slip to a 3-3 draw in Saint Petersburg.

"Cristiano is leaving? Ask him, I don't know about these things," Ramos remarked in the mixed zone.

The centre-back took over Spain's penalty taking duties on Tuesday evening and it just so happened that Lopetegui's charges were awarded two separate spot-kicks, both of which the defender converted.

"Personally I'm happy to be able to dedicate these goals to my young son," he confirmed.

"I would have liked to accompany them with a victory but we have played very well in 2017.

"The overall aim was to qualify for the World Cup."

Spain's qualification campaign was relatively straightforward, the team's performances were strong and it is clear that former Porto coach Lopetegui has brought something fresh to the team dynamic.

Ahead of the World Cup in Russia, Ramos was unwilling to agree with the sentiment that Spain are heading into the showpiece tournament as favourites.

"The teams have been watching each other and people are forming their opinions," he intimated.

"Being a favourite does not help, but you have to belief and go to Russia convinced we can do well.

"We have a certain philosophy and style and what will happen, will happen."

Kepa Arrizabalaga's future is one the major talking points ahead of the January transfer window, Real Madrid are known to have a clear interest, however Athletic Club are willing to meet the goalkeeper's salary demands.

Los Blancos' Ramos praised the Spanish goalkeeper but refused to be drawn on talk of his future and whether or not that would be in Madrid.

"We'll see what happens, the season is very long," he stated. "These subjects change in the summer, he is a great goalkeeper with a lot of potential.

"He has things to learn, with pressure you have to learn how to deal with it." 0:00/3:31

LIBERIA'S SUPREME COURT HEARING ON ELECTION FRAUD. Monrovia  - The Supreme Court has heard arguments on the Liberty Party (LP) and the Unity Party’s (UP) Bill of Exception, which calls for the reversion of the final ruling of the National Elections Commission (NEC) on the October 10th 2017 Presidential and Legislative Elections. Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine and Oswald Tweh of the Liberty Party told the Court that NEC made reversible errors by not disclosing the Final Registration Roll (FRR) to the polling places as the law provides. Cllr. Tweh further said the elections body had intent of defrauding and holding illegal elections, requesting that the Oct 10th, 2017 elections be annulled and the FRR be cleaned-up.
